Workshop

The success of a concert depends not only on artistic performance, but also on solid technical preparation. Whether you're a solo artist or an amateur band, you'll be working with technical teams of various levels, whether in professional concert halls or less conventional venues such as bars or outdoor events.

This course will guide you in the preparation of essential technical documents, answer all your questions about equipment and technique, and teach you how to work effectively with professional sound technicians. What's more, you'll be able to assess the feasibility of independent concerts, taking care of technical management yourself if necessary.

On the program :

• Fundamentals of sound reinforcement : 30 min
• Preparation of technical documents (data sheet, rider, analysis of your documents, examples and practical work) : 1h
• Professional welcoming (discussion of correct usage, upstream source settings) : 30 min.
• Meal Break : 30min
• Non-dedicated venues (points to watch out for, finding a common language with the venue, considering technical autonomy) : 30 min.
• Optimizing your scales (method) : 30 min
• Technical and equipment autonomy (points to watch out for, which equipment to choose, organization) : 1h
