IAM
Formed in 1989 and hailing from Marseille, IAM is the iconic rap group composed of Akhenaton, Shurik'n, Kheops, Imhotep and Kephren. Known for their unique musical style, their lyrics are often politically engaged and deal with issues such as social injustice, racism and urban violence.
Their album "L'Ecole du Micro d'Argent" is still considered one of the best French rap albums of all time and has won numerous awards including the prestigious Victoire de la Musique.A legendary group, they have left their mark on the history of French music. Their music continues to inspire many people around the world and their influence today remains undeniable.
