22 years in the business. Tens of thousands of kilometers on their Tour Bus, which has taken them to the four corners of the globe.
Starting out as a teenage dream in the early 2000s, the collective went on to play a series of dates under their hats, as well as the most underground concert cafés. The chemistry quickly took hold, and DANAKIL found themselves playing in some of France's biggest venues, as well as Zeniths and major European festivals, bringing their rootsy, committed music to the masses.
Often reduced to the status of a "reggae band", DANAKIL have managed to free themselves from codes and deliver songs that, in some cases, have become "classics", crossing generations and accumulating millions of streams on today's platforms.
But they've never lost their simplicity, creating a natural bond with their fans and audiences at every concert, just as they did in their early days.
This very special atmosphere has largely contributed to the group's success, and has enabled it to impose its singular imprint, stamped with the seal of independence and militancy. Indeed, DANAKIL has always sought to preserve its freedom, first by self-producing its albums its own label.
September 2024 marks a new stage for DANAKIL, with the release of the album “ Demain peut-être ”, several tracks of which have already proved particularly effective both in stream and live performances!
On the musical front, the band continues to evolve, pushing even further their production work in their own studio (the BACO STUDIO in Bordeaux) to create their best rhythms and melodies, constantly experimenting in search of a powerful, analog sound. The result is a natural groove that best supports the trenchant lyrics of Balik, historic singer of the DANAKIL collective.
The band is on tour until 2025, with over forty dates already announced, including a date at La Belle Électrique that promises to be unique and unforgettable!

TWAN TEE continues his ascent and will soon be presenting a new album.
His flow coupled with bold musical productions that blend reggae/dub, bass music, dancehall and trap have enabled TWAN TEE to impose a universe all his own, always supported by producer ODDY in each of his projects. Released in April 2023, his latest album "INNERGY" has been enthusiastically received by an ever-growing number of listeners who have discovered and supported his project. Released on RFI's official playlist in March, it has not escaped the attention of reggae fans like Djubaka, either, being featured on France Inter's Sound System Playlist, or relayed by specialized media in France and abroad.
